Ezekiel Bread Recipe

This is a very sweet, moist, cake-like bread. For a more traditional bread texture, I have used flour made from this combination of grains and beans in the Basic Bread Recipe from the The Beckers Recipe Collection Cookbook, replacing the 4 ½ cups of flour called for with about 5 ½ cups of flour from the Ezekiel mixture of grains in this recipe. You may also add fruits and nuts or use the flour made from this mixture in other favorite recipes. This healthy combination of grains and beans is worth experimenting with. Combining grains and beans makes a complete protein.

Ecclesiastes 11:1 says “Cast your bread on the surface of many waters, (be diligently active, make thoughtful decisions) for you will be richly rewarded.” I noted the verse in my prayer journal and asked the Lord to show me what “waters”?

Ministry Opportunity for Real Bread Outreach

In 2007, God put it on my heart to start a ministry to supply healthy, real food to families who truly could not afford to meet this need for themselves. Over the years, we have had sufficient support for the opportunities that arose. However, on Thursday, June 6, God brought a need to our awareness. An article in a local newspaper (that I seldom ever read) caught my eye. A local ministry in Cherokee County, GA was conducting a summer lunch program for kids that would otherwise go hungry.
